Service Avoidance Training
A half a or one day course enabling delegates to be trained in cable and service avoidance with individual practical assessments on both the Cable Avoidance Tool and Genny.
Half to One Day including practical element.
Who will benefit?:
Operatives, Supervisors and Managers who have to locate underground apparatus for work on Construction sites, buildings, roadways and highways.
Aims of Training:
To train personnel in the knowledge needed to carry out cable and service avoidance work in order to safeguard themselves and others.
Training Content & Knowledge:
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- Read and understand site plans
- Principles of location and avoidance of underground services
- Operate cable avoidance tools in order to avoid or locate underground apparatus
- Identify potential risks to themselves and others
A high proportion of discussion and simulated assessments supplemented with video, classroom tutorials and progress test. There is also individual practical assessments on both the Cable Avoidance Tool and Genny.
8 per course.
Client to provide: Training room to comfortably accommodate all the delegates with 240V power supply.
Trainer to provide: Training Equipment (course notes and presentation package)
