Manual Handling Techniques
For half a day, candidates will be trained in the principles of safe manual handling, fulfilling the 1992 Manual Handling Operations Regulations.

All employees whether they are office or site based
Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 apply to any manual handling operation that may cause injury at work
Aims of Training:
Delegates will receive training in a range of subjects including:
- Principles of safe manual handling;
- Risk assessment;
- Safe lifting techniques
- Typical injuries
- Hazard identification and assessment of the task, the load, the working environment and individual capabilities
- Correct handling techniques
- Practical exercises and tuition
Maximum Number of Delegates:
10 per course.
A high proportion of group participation, including practical exercises in lifting techniques, supplemented by power point presentation and classroom based tutorials.
Client to provide: Training room to comfortably accommodate all the delegates with 240V power supply. A range of objects in various sizes and weights
Trainer to provide: Training Equipment (course notes and presentation package)
